Reading list for Singapore delegates

My apologies to delegates who attended my 2-day course on Eurocode 7 at the BCA Academy in Singapore. I promised to post a reading list for those wishing to delve deeper into the Eurocodes. Here it now is:

• 'Designers’ guide to EN 1997-1, Eurocode 7: Geotechnical design – General rules' by R Frank et al. (2004), published by Thomas Telford, London
• PP 1990:2007 Structural Eurocodes - Extracts from the Structural Eurocodes for students of structural design (2nd edition), published by Bristish Standards Institution, London

The following cover the pre-standard (ENV) version of Eurocode 7, but are nonetheless useful:

• 'Geotechnical design to Eurocode 7' by T Orr and E Farrell (1999), published by Springer, London
• 'Eurocode 7  a commentary' by B Simpson and R Driscoll (1998), pubslihed by CRC, Watford

Update briefing and design course on Eurocode 7

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has now finalised the programme for my free lecture and two-day seminar on Eurocode 7 to be held in Singapore at the end of September. Over 100 delegates are expected to attend the seminar!

Decoding course returns to Singapore

Following the success of last year's seminar in Singapore, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has invited me to deliver another 2-day training course entitled 'Geotechnical Design and Applications using Eurocode 7' on 26th-27th September 2007. The course will feature the highlights from Geocentrix's three one-day Decoding Eurocode 7 courses.

Venue for the course will be the BCA Academy (previously known as the Construction Industry Training Institute), situated at 200 Braddell Road, Singapore - 579700.

A formal announcement of the course (and booking forms) will appear on the BCA website in due course.

Decoding Eurocode 7 course in Singapore

The Singapore Government's Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has invited me to deliver a 2-day training course, Decoding Eurocode 7, on 2nd-3rd November 2006. Venue will be the Phoenix Ballroom (Level 6), Novotel Clarke Quay Hotel, Singapore.

Introducing the Eurocodes to Singapore

The Singapore Government's Building and Contruction Authority is hosting a half-day seminar giving an overview of the Structural Eurocodes (especially Eurocode 7) on Wednesday 1st November, at the Construction Industry Training Institute. The seminar will feature two one-hour lectures by me (Andrew Bond) entitled:

• Introducing the Structural Eurocodes
• Introducing Eurocode 7
